In the letter dated 19.02.2024 and numbered 1798, sent to our Chamber from the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye,

It is reported that a political consensus has been reached regarding the "Net Zero Industry Law" presented by the European Commission.

Within the scope of the Net Zero Industry Law;

- EU production capacity for net zero technologies to reach at least 40% of expected EU demand by 2030,

- Allowing more manufacturing facilities with net zero technology to be built more quickly,

- Supporting technologies such as batteries, solar cells, onshore and offshore wind, fuel cells, electrolysers, grid technologies and sustainable alternative fuels,

- Facilitating market access for net zero products,

- It aims to support the development of skills of the workforce needed to scale up net zero industries in the EU.
